It has now come to the point where we have to make those difficult decisions!
Government and health professionals’ advice is that we need to cut out all unnecessary social gatherings, and we need to follow it.
- For this reason, the committee has decided to suspend all Friday group meetings until the end of May. (All events now suspended till further notice, pending re-opening of St Michael’s and Holt Village Hall)
- We are also cancelling the Sewing Day at Holt on 4th April.
- At this stage, we have not cancelled the Gillian Travis workshop on 28th May in case the situation changes. (This workshop is being re-scheduled in 2021, date to be notified)
In the meantime, I will keep in touch with you all by e-mail, and I hope we will all use this time to catch up on those UFOs!
We can, of course, do Show & Tell – if you send me a photo of your work I will share it with everyone. If you have any new ideas about anything quilty or staying cheerful in the current situation, do send them to me so I can pass them on!
Here’s something to start you off – Gloria has sent the following link for making a face mask!
I challenge you all to make a funny one, and we can share them via email . . . and maybe include them in our exhibition next year!
I send you my best wishes, kind regards – and lots of love!
Looking forward to seeing all my quilty friends again soon!
